Addiction Effects

Addiction is a problem that can cause a person distress even with the smallest doses.  The health issues of addiction come into a person’s life as soon as they become addicted and the problem will remain until he or she gets treatment, or until their life is ended by the addiction and its effects.  At A Forever Recovery, we understand the negative addiction effects and we work with our clients and their hardships to help them better grasp their life as a recovering addict.

The Path to Recovery

We help by helping the addict work through their struggles and by guiding them towards a life as a recovered addict.  Once they are recovered from their addiction, the immediate effects will diminish, but if there are lifelong problems such as mental disorders, etc. we will help by getting the addict into a program for cognitive stimulation and development.

Side Addiction Effects

Side Addiction Effects
The most common side effects of addiction include things such as tooth decay, poor skin, sunken eyes and hair loss.  These effects occur because of the addict’s lack of hygiene while they were under the influence and most of these effects can be treated through time and medical treatments.  Others include memory loss, flash backs, poor self-esteem and no motivation.  Although things such as flash backs and memory loss cannot be reversed, they can be lessened to a point with stimulating exercises and self-esteem issues and lack of motivation can most definitely be helped through different portions of our drug rehab programs we offer at A Forever Recovery.
