Drug Rehab Center

Our Drug Rehab Center
A drug rehab center is an addict’s last chance before winding up in prison or dying of an overdose. The most effective form of treatment at this stage is inpatient treatment.  This is often the only effective way of helping clients to recover. This is because it offers the advantage of keeping them away from those who might try and get them to continue in their habit as well as from the stress of daily living that can provide interference.

Drug Rehab CenterTreatment Approaches

A typical inpatient facility is essentially a residential facility. The client is provided with 24 hours a day, seven days a week treatment, which consists of one-on-one counseling and sharing experiences with fellow addicts. Many different approaches are used. Motivational enhancement therapy, which can take the form of either motivational interviewing or resistance reduction, seeks to pinpoint the client’s motivation for using drugs. Psycho-dynamic therapy is an essentially “Freudian” approach by which the client is supposed to delve down into his subconscious in order to find out just what drugs mean to them. Cognitive behavior therapy aims at helping clients develop the skills needed to control and motivate themselves. The length of the client’s stay varies with how severe his habit has been. Detoxification is the first step on your road to recovery.
